Celebrating the most outstanding use of animation in XR, this award honors projects that demonstrate excellence in character motion, design fluidity, and the art of animated storytelling. From lifelike movement to stylized visual expression, the winner will exemplify how animation can enhance immersion and breathe life into virtual worlds.
The Best Animation category recognizes exceptional animation craft within immersive experiences built using XR technology. This includes character animation, motion design, and choreographed interactions that elevate the sense of presence and storytelling.
Eligible projects must have been produced at least 30% within Europe and will be judged on the quality, innovation, and emotional impact of their animation. Whether through seamless performance capture, dynamic visual effects, or imaginative character work, the winning entry will set a benchmark for how animation shapes and enriches the immersive experience.
Creators Fund Eligible
Creators requiring financial aid may qualify for €100 euro off nomination fees and complimentary tickets to attend the XR Awards Gala through the Creators Fund.
