2023 Stand Out Moments

The XR Lifetime Achievement Award was proudly presented to Dr. Myron W. Krueger. Dr. Krueger, a pioneer in virtual and augmented reality, received the award for his groundbreaking contributions to the XR field.

In keeping with tradition, the VR Awards 2023 warmly welcomed more than 300 international attendees adorned in elegant black-tie attire. Upon their arrival at the evening’s festivities, guests were delighted with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and had the chance to connect with fellow attendees before the beggining of the official opening speeches.

The VR Awards 2023 ceremony started with an incredible celebration of how far VR has come, including images from VR creations from our finalists. This year saw 14 winners take to the stage to accept their trophies and celebrate industry successes with other finalists.

The performance is set in a virtual environment where AI-generated art, inspired by audience interactions via QR codes, is created in real-time, adding an exclusive touch to the night of the VR Awards.
