2022 Stand Out Moments

With interest in our live return at an all time high for the 6th year anniversary of the VR Awards, there could of course only be a total of 13 winners and 1 Accenture VR Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Most winners took the stage on the night to accept their trophies, with others calling in from further afield with creative, special messages!

The 7th International VR Awards began with the arrival of our international delegates to de Doelen, adorned in sophisticated black tie dress, with a complimentary glass of champagne! Networking opportunities provided smiles before the beginning of our ceremony, as guests also stopped for pictures with our signed poster.

In this year’s ceremony introduction we wanted to look back at a timeline of technological growth, before looking forward to the monumental steps we will take together as we enter the metaverse.

2022 Fine Dining Menu

Starter

Thinly sliced and smoked Meuse-Rhine-Lissel (Premium Dutch Beef) topside, salad of Westland vegetables, cream of pistachio and a sourdough bread crumble. Takati of grilled carrots, lasagna of Westland vegetables and balsamic pearls (V).

Main Dish

Veal fillet and veal escalope with a mash of dried tomatoes, baked potato and arugula, reduction of tomato and red wine and crispy sage.

Candied celeriac and wild mushroom tartare, mash of dried tomatoes, potato and arugula, reduction of red wine and tomato (V).

Dessert

Salted caramel cheescake, ‘De Westlandse Aardbei’ strawberries, lemon mousse, and Acila cress by Koppert Cress.

Vegan brownie, ‘the Westland strawberry’ and strawberries, compote of lemon and Acila cress (V).

Industry Made, Live Entertainment

Our 6th International VR Awards entertainment was provided by Andromeda Entertainment, who took to the stage in an incredible display that combined VR with aerial acrobatic excellence. Daniel Colaianni, one of the original co-founders of the VR Awards, took to the stage to open our 6th Ceremony. Daniel’s speech was reflective, and enfused with a strong celebration of the values of community and collaboration.
