From environment design to character aesthetics, the winner demonstrates how every visual element works in harmony to tell a compelling story.
The Best Art Direction category recognizes creators who craft rich, visually unified worlds through thoughtful design choices and artistic flair. This includes the use of color, composition, lighting, and texture to convey tone, narrative, and emotion.
Eligible projects must have been produced at least 50% within Europe and will be judged on the strength of their visual style, the consistency of their artistic direction, and how effectively the design supports the immersive experience. The winning work will set a high bar for visual storytelling in XR, proving that great design is as vital as great technology.

Creators requiring financial aid may qualify for 50% off nomination fees and complimentary tickets to attend the XR Gala through the Creators Fund.
