This award celebrates the XR experience that achieves a groundbreaking technical milestone. From real-time rendering to advanced interaction systems, the winner exemplifies innovation that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in immersive technology.
The Best Technical Achievement category honors projects that demonstrate significant advances in VR or AR development—whether through novel gameplay mechanics, optimization techniques, or technical execution that enhances narrative, performance, or immersion.
Eligible projects must have been produced at least 30% within Europe and will be judged on their technical complexity, originality, and overall impact on the XR medium. The winning experience will represent a leap forward in XR innovation, setting a new benchmark for what’s achievable in immersive storytelling or gameplay.
Creators Fund Eligible
Creators requiring financial aid may qualify for €100 euro off nomination fees and complimentary tickets to attend the XR Awards Gala through the Creators Fund.
