2017 Stand Out Moments

2017 saw 12 award-worthy winners take to the stage to accept their trophies and give short but inspirational acceptance speeches. Most notably, both Google & Oculus went home with not one, but two awards.

The VR Awards 2017 began the night in true black tie fashion.

As over 300 international delegates arrived for the evening’s events, guests were greeted with champagne and given the opportunity to network before the official opening speeches.

Both Daniel Colaianni from AIXR and James Knight from AMD Studios took to the stage.

A warm welcome to delegates and reflecting on just how far the industry has come in such a small amount of time, then before the night came to the close, VIP ticket holders took to the dance with a Live DJ, a free unlimited bar and the opportunity to experience new depths of bass from Subpac.

Industry Made, Live Entertainment

Our live entertainment stole the show! Anna Zhilyaeva, a talented artist from Paris, orchestrated an innovative art piece utilising Google Tilt Brush with a musical accompaniment from London-based ZHL strings, who choreographed a condensed 15 minute performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
