2019 Stand Out Moments
This year saw 13 winners take to the stage to accept their trophies and celebrate industry successes with other finalists. Highlights included the first presentation of the Accenture Lifetime Achievement Award to John Carmack, and the premiere of Doctor Who: Edge of Time.

The VR Awards brought together top executives and pioneers from across the world.
Rolling out the red carpet award and providing a platform for recognising the very best talent in the immersive industry. The VR Awards 2019, as per tradition, greeted over 300 international delegates dressed in black tie. As they arrived for the evening’s events, guests were treated to a complimentary glass of bubbly and had the opportunity to network before the official opening speeches and the night began.
The third annual VR Awards meant a brand new category.
Sponsored by Accenture, the Accenture VR Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates an individual with an outstanding contribution to virtual reality, this year, it was awarded to John Carmack.

Industry Made, Live Entertainment
In 2019, Foxdog took to the stage and put our audience of experts to the test in an interactive robotic comedy set. Throughout the set, attendees worked together to create a cocktail from their seats using mobile controls.
